We are selling Buildatron 3D printers and kits to raise money for the space and increase the 3D printer population. The Buildatron 1 3D printer (assembled) comes completely built and shipped to your door. The Buildatron 1 DIY 3D printer (kit) has everything you need to build your own 3D printer step by step. The printers are already assembled and tested so they ship to you right away.

About the Author

Psytek is an inventor and engineer. He collaborates with other members of Alpha One Labs on unique projects including a tweeting Christmas Tree, laser controlled lights, a telepresence bot, 3D POV and the beginnings of a ground breaking flying saucer design.

Shipping is $40 to the US and varies to other countries.

Are you planning to make more parts? I live in the UK, I have been looking for these parts for a while, I will buy some as soon as you get some more.

We will have more parts in the beginning of March, or if we get another reprap printing parts possibly sooner. We’ll announce it on the twitter feed when they become available. Thanks for inquiring.

Do you ship an extruder part with the kit?

Thanks. We do not ship the nozzle with this kit. Only the plastic part that holds the motor and bearing.

oops, it is my configuration on the laptop. It shows up fine on my other machine. Do you have a large number of backorders for these parts at the moment?

Cool. No, there is no backorder. We only post how many we have in stock. We’ll have some next week.

We will be selling the electronics soon. We don’t sell the mechanical parts though. You can get them through http://www.mcmaster.com if you are in the US.

We had some technical difficulty with the printer making the parts. Replacements have been shipped. We are about a week or two behind schedule. We apologize for the delay and will post when they are available.
