I went and pretty much just hung out there alone with 1 other rsvp’r from 7-9… and no pizza. we printed a really thin rectangle…. but it said it would take 4 hours so we stopped it. Then I just left because I realized noone was going to come.

As long as the printed file and the outline vector file are the same registration should be close. But I learned not to trust it entirely. In the print file and vector file I would add three registration marks. (I normally just draw small circles with an X through them) The laser cutters pointer can then be used to align it with “laser” precision.

Hi! I’d like to send you my files, but I wonder if you might have a suggestion or two for my project. What I’d like to do is print out photographs onto high quality paper then use the laser to cut them out (like paper dolls). I know how to cut them out in photoshop and trace them in Illustrator, but I don’t know how to register the printed photo so that the laser cuts it out precisely. Do you have any suggestions?

Hi Hugh, Hackert0wn will be a green building of 6 or so floors made from recycled shipping containers with amenities for hackers including retail stores with hacker related goods, plenty of hack space, nap pods and a full aquaponic setup on the top floor.
