This is an intro class for EAGLE Cad. We will go over the difference between a schematic and a board file and how to create both. In the class we will be creating a board from a schematic to board file, routing and also making GERBER files from the board file. We will also go over places that you can get a prototype cheap and where you can get production runs made of you printed circuit board.
All students must have a laptop for the class (if you do not have one or any other issue with bringing a laptop please let us know and we will try to have one ready for you). EAGLE CAD works on Windows, Mac and Linux so any operating system will work. Students should also go to http://www.cadsoft.de/download.htm and install the software before the class. You should choose the freeware license when asked during the install.
