Genspace will be hosting a three-day course on engineering cells using synthetic biology starting this Saturday the 7th. It’ll be four-hour courses with heavy wetlab emphasis (less talk, more action), with one session every weekend for three weeks. One of our members, Oliver, will be teaching the students how to engineer e.coli k-12 strain to act as a biosensor that detects certain kind of radiation and produce genetically programmed response. The fee for the whole course is $300 per person with students paying half rate.
