Interactive Arduino Mural

[edit] Project Summary
A (16"X58") arduino will either be painted onto masonite or we will use some sort of foil leafing technique. will have analog inputs with buttons or other sensors connected to them. You press a button or send a signal and it sends signal to one of the outputs. The outputs turn electricity on and off to sections of the main mural. We will be using vintage parts for the resistors and making our own capacitors. Some modern parts will still be needed, like the atmega chip.
The main mural (37"X48" also painted onto masonite) will be magnetic and covered with conductive paint in sections. People can attach little devices to it, probably little arduino devices, and when the electricity is on, the devices will activate. We will worry about creating the little arduino devices once we have the mural up and running.
The main mural and the arduino mural will probably be connected with some knitted wire or some other nifty mechanism.
We will eventually work with other hackerspaces to get sister murals put up, and work out some way of having the murals communicate with each other. We may paint an ethernet shield directly onto the board with the painted arduino on it.
