Security Shield

A project suggested by Matt. Use the Arduino as a home or business security system.

- Multiple switch inputs using an HC4021 or 74165 shift regster.
- We may actually want to use the shift registers to control an analog multiplexer to measure the impedance of the line, to detect attempts to bypass installed detectors and switches.
- Multiple outputs using 74595 shift register for status lamps, etc.
- LCD status display output
- Ethernet shield output to connect with Twitter, email, etc.
- Keypad input
- Multiple regulated voltage outputs to interface with various standard security hardware
- Arduino driver libraries to interface with it all
- Web status page that users can install on their own servers
- iPhone app? Android app? TI Chronos app?
