Mike Caprio graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1996. He is a software engineer and database developer by trade, and a writer and general pursuer of knowledge by avocation. Over his career he has worked for several Internet start-ups, maintained firmware for microwave radios, developed myriad business applications for a wide range of industries, product managed a suite of data migration tools, and consulted for the largest corporations in the world. His current interests include: open source hardware, iPhone development, and speculating about the Singularity.

He is currently living in Brooklyn, NY and is the principal and lead consultant for his own business, Brainewave Consulting.
